The Technology Of Bag On Valve Aerosols
The Bag on Valve (BoV) aerosols system is a modern packaging technology developed to improve your cosmetic, medical or food products. Not only is it convenient and user friendly, but it can be sprayed evenly at all angles and has up to 99% product emptying. Signature Filling Company has the ability to provide you with product bag on valve packaging. Signature Filling Company offers a wide variety of can sizes and configurations. We will source all material needed to complete you project and fulfill your needs; cans, valves, actuators and any other components specific to you.
1. The Valve of a Bag-on-Valve
Bag on Valve (BOV) systems are available with both female and male valves.
2. The Bag-on-Valve Bag
Bag on Valve FDA-approved laminated aluminum bag (3 or 4 layers depending on product requirements). BOV systems are available in a large range of sizes.
3. The Product
Bag on Valve systems are suitable for liquid as well as viscous products, such as gels, creams and ointments, in a number of application areas. BOV systems are optimized for oxygen-sensitive and sterile products.
4. The Bag-on-Valve Propellant
Because of the separation between product and propellant, BOV can be used with compressed air or nitrogen.
5. The Bag-on-Valve Actuator
Bag-on-Valve are available in a large range of standard actuators depending on product demands.
6. The Bag-on-Valve Can
Standard aerosol can, aluminum or tin plate (whenever possible the use of aluminum cans is recommended). All sorts of shaped cans can be used with BOV systems. No limitation in marketing solutions.
And of course – the Bag-on-Valve Cap
Bag on Valve systems can be used with many kinds of standard overcaps.
How the Filling Process Works
The Bag on Valve system consists of a rolled-up multi-layered flexible pouch attached to an aerosol valve. In the production of a BoV product, compressed air or nitrogen is charged into the can, and an aerosol valve with the bag attached is crimped onto the container. The formulation is forced through the aerosol valve stem to fill the bag. Finally, the actuator and cap are put in placement.
